This paper discusses the inverse solution of gravity anomalies from geoid height datausing FFT. With a comparision between the FFT method and the orthonormal base func-tions method, the idea to accomplish the transformation of boundary value problemsin physical geodesy using FFT is developed, which simplifies the problem itself and com-putation procedure, and also saves computation time.
