  • Vvisual balance is the basic and necessary demand for the map's page layout design, and is also the representation of the artistic character of map.But there was the phenomena that the result of evaluation is disunity or doesn't have enough evidence, because the map designers use the qualitative evaluation method for visual balance. So,this article brings forward the new method of transforming the qualitative evaluation into the modeling and quantitative visual balance evaluation. The steps of how to realize the visual balance model basing the platform of C#+ArcGIS Engine is expatiated. The evaluation result of the visual balance model is proved that it is worthy of high trusting and precision by experiment which uses the two authoritative maps as the experimental maps.
