  • On the basis of the OpenGIS specifications and COM/DCOM technology, this paper introduces the design of a two-dimensional GIS componentware-MapManager.It mainly describes the procedure of software design from three aspects:interface, spatial database and function.The shortcomings of MapManager are discussed as well.
