Evaluating the Quality of a Digital Image

This paper applies information theory to analyze the objects and white noise on a digital image.Based on the spatial correlation of objects,a method is developed for estimating information content of objects and entropy of white noise.The method is used to appraise a group of different focus images and remove noise from satellitic image,which shows a good application efficiency.
