On the Computation of the profiles and Volumes of Water Body with Irregular Shape-Concurrently Discussing the Interpolation Accuracy of Multi-Surface Function

  • Based on Lu Yan's cubic surface function(interpolation model). A series of closed formulas for calculating the profiles and volumes of water body with irregular shape were derived. Some computation examples shown in this paper confirm these formula. Finally, from another aspect, the interpolation accuracy of the multisurface function was discussed. The formulas provided in this paper are also suitable for the computation of the earthwork volumes and profiles.
