Cloud Detection in MODIS Data Based on Spectrum Analysis

Taking account of the different objects spectrum specificity (cloud, snow, vegetation, desert, water and so on) and MODIS instrument channel characteristic, this paper has proposed the multispectral cloud detection algorithm for cloud detection for MODIS images. The algorithm is applicable to all the different scenes. The results show that the cloud detection algorithms on different objects have basically completed.
