Abstract:
Firstly, the requirements of geo-spatial information are described facing to the next generation of Internet and Web 2.0. A digital Earth imaging system for geo-spatial information services is proposed to set up. A new concept of digital measurable images (DMI) is proposed. The related technique for data acquisition, organization and management for DMI as well as its integration with existing 4D products (DEM/DOM/DLG/DRG) are described. Based on these techniques a new geo-spatial information service system: DMI based vLBS is set up to improve the quality of LBS with visible, measurable and minable stereo images. Finally, the appliatability of DMI based vLBS is briefly discussed.
