Boresight Calibration Based Fast Registration Between Airborne LiDAR Points Clouds and Synchronous Images

  • There is a different imaging mechanism between LiDAR data and aerial imagery,so it is difficult to adopt traditional automated registration method.On the basis of comprehensive analysis of boresight misalignment,high-precision LiDAR data integrated with high-resolution aerial imagery are used to precisely position 3-dimentional object space points.Then a combined adjustment model for LiDAR data and aerial images can be built to achieve boresight registration without any control fields,which can guarantee high-precision registration of LiDAR data and aerial image.
