  • The basic unit is the smallest change object of elements in land survey database updating. It was obtained from the overlap of features in two different periods, which reflect the change from one time to another. After the rounding operation, the length of linear features in the basic unit is not equal to the sum or difference of before and after lengths. It leads to logical inconsistency, which should be adjusted.Analyzed the basic adjustment criteria and methods of linear features in the basic unit, refined the change behaviors to 10 types and clarified the data flow of each change type,an adjustment method can maintain the attributes logical consistency of linear features strictly was designed and implemented. The methods was applied and verified in the land-use data management system LandEx.
