An Experiment in Digital Correlation of Photogrammetric Images

This is a report of an experiment about the epipolar digital image correlation in photogrammetry.The following problems have been described in detail:(1) Image transformation from the scanning system to the epipolar system;(2) Image preprocessing to enhance the features,which are advantageous to correlation;(3) Image matching using the sum of the absolute differences with a threshold;(4) Gross error detection by the convolution algrithm;(5) The analysis of registration error from terrain slope and the best target size.
