3D Spatial Modeling Technology and Its Application to Engineering Geology

  • In this paper,a standard description about the construction of three-dimensional geological section and geological entity is given,and the mainstream spatial data models are analyzed comprehensively.With this understanding,considering the constructed specialty about professional spatial object and the different characters of three dimensional spatial data models,special three-dimensional spatial data model is only applicable for special application domain.We graft the essential of CE,CSG,B-Reps and the method of raster model to orgnize tree data structure,adopt the object-oriented method to construct all kinds of objects in target model,finally prefer an object-oriented three dimensional blended data model with integrated vector and raster base on a primary analyze cell.This paper fulfills the unique expression on three-dimensional geological section and whole geological entity with topologic relation,then suggests a visualized schema.In order to test the rationality of the model.We analyze several applications to engineering geology.The result proves that this model is rational and operational.
