Creation of Distortion Model for Digital Camera Based on 2D DLT

  • This paper presents that distortion model could be created for different kinds of digital cameras based on the theory of 2D direct linear transformation by using a accurate 2D control field.The method given in this paper is applied to correct all systematic errors in every pixel or in every interested image point.It is possible to create a digital distortion model to a digital camera with designed lens and given focused object.During 2D transformation four points which are located at the image corners are generally chosen, so the distortions of these points are assumed as zero.The two dimensional control field can be created by using precise drawing table, or can be arranged on the wall with a lot of circular targets measured by on line total stations.
