Design and Implementation of High Precision Map Symbol Library Based on GDI⁺

This paper introduces the design of open map symbol and the design of oriented-object system. Firstly, the research and development situations of the map symbol library are summarized. The significance of the design and implementation of map symbol library is discussed. The total structure of the symbol library system and the different graphic elements are proposed. Then, some functions and characteristics of the symbol library system are described. Last, this paper gives some conclusions and comments on the application and development of the symbol library.
