Algorithm and Simulation of Autonomous Orbit Determination for Navigation Satellites

  • With the launch and operation of China navigation satellites, it is urgently essential to automatically determine the satellite orbit under restricted conditions. We have established a mathematical model for autonomous orbit determination using satellite-to-satellite distance observations, in which the attitude parameters are derived based on quasi-distances between GPS satellites and a filtering algorithm. The result indicates that the accuracy of automatically determining orbits is better than that from GPS broadcasting ephemerides.
