An Application of Object-oriented Data Models for Attribute Database in GIS
This paper has analysed the relational date models and their problems;introduced the basic concepts of the object-oriented data models and discussed an object-oriented database prototype based on HyperTalk and Oracle for the attribute data in GIS.The result has shown that it could solve some problems in relational data models of tradition and improve the efficiency for manipulating database.
