Abstract

In this paper,a definition is given to the broad relative error ellipsoid(ellipse),It is briefly introduced that the formulae figuring the broad relative error ellipse of 2-D control points.The emphasis has been paid to the calculation of the broad relative error ellipsoid of 3-D control points,and the discussion of the related problems in the broad relative error ellipsoid of the terrestrical geocentric system and the geodetic system.
