A new approach of epipoiar-line image matching——"Bridging Mode" described in this paper is a feature-based maching method. With the new method, two features are bridged to establish a matching window. The unique advantage of bridging mode is that the geometrical correction for scale difference between master window and searching window can be performed before image roaching. It offers a new way to obtain the approximate x-parallaxes and geometrical deformation parameters accuratly and reliably, and it speeds up the eovergence of the solution of least squares image roaching.
