Abstract
This paper investigates the design theories and methods in applying the single and dual cement aplanats in the optical system used in surveying and metrology.The restraint equation for afocal and collimating objective lenses containing aplanat are established.The formulas are derived for curvature correction when thin aplanats grow into thick ones.With the help of optical technical parameter nomography,a basic principle for the selection of aplanat glass is described.As a numeral example,this paper gives several matched modes and aberration results of classic afocal and collimating objective lenses.The advantages of the aplanat design and the effects of shifting on optical performences and imaging quality are also commented on.Analysis has demonstrated that with regard to afocal and collimating design,the aplanat has many features such as adaptablity,convenience and economy,etc.
