  • This paper presents experiments and analysis of the influence of the industrial development in Hanyang (part of Wuhan City) on its landscape and resources for tourism made by employing the multidate remote sensed image analysing techniques. The results show that with the rapid development of industry, the quality of the area's landscape and resources for tourism is declining day by day. As the region's natural beauty is fading, the area of its scenic spot is greatly narrowing. The tourist environment of Hanyang, which boasted is clear landscape and luxuriant greenery, is steadily deteriorating. For developing as well as saving the district's draining tourist resources, concrete measures geared to the present situation must be taken. Only by so doing can a modern environment for tourism be created.
