New Computing Formulas for Measuring the Slope of a Shaft Well by Hydrostatic Level

  • This paper deals with some new formulas applied to measuring the slope of a shaft well under construction by hydrostatic level. They can be used to identify the maximum sloping direction of the well rim and to compute the maximum and minimum elevation in this direction. By comparing these new formulas with those developed by A.H.BAPAHOB, a soviet scholar, it can be seen that the application of the latter is very limited. The author of the present paper strongly suggests applying the new formulas to practice.
