The Analysis of Several Methods for Working Out the Differential Equations of a Particle Making Relative Motion

This paper deals with several methods for establishing the differential equations of a particle making relative motion. The advantages and shortcomings of these methods in different conditions are analysed and compared by example. The potential functions of these kinds of problems are also discussed.
