Cartographic Data Base System the Core Component of the Spatial Information System

This paper firstly introduces the concept of spatial data, their particularities in the aspects of time/space changing and the complexities in their management. Then it describes the properties of topological transformation in map data processing as well as the realization of so-called indirect topological selection in this cartographical data base system.
