Thoughts on Smarter Planet from the View of Geomatics

This paper discusses the technical background of the smarter planet in the stage of informational surveying and mapping,summarizes the smarter planet's concept and the differences between it and the digital earth from the view of Geomatics,establishes the system structure and solutions,provides the physical and logical framework,analyses the technical composition,discourses seven key technologies for achieving the smarter planet,proposes the building recommendations of the smarter planet.It provides a reference for the establishment of the smarter planet's theory system and realization mode.
