Analysis and Calculation of Map Chinese Labeling Quality Function

There are six rules for high-quality labeling.Most automatic label-placement methods only comply with a simplest of all rules,that is the names shouldn't overlap the other names and important features.This paper discussed a map Chinese labeling quality function for labeling in details,taking into account of all rules.The paper also gave a example based on the quality function,compariing with the other experiment based on the simplest rule.The result based on the quality function is better.
