Distributed Spatial Data Storage Object

Aiming at the massive data volume,the territorial characteristics and distributed applications of geographical spatial data,several existing storage technologies are reviewed at first.Then,the concept of distributed spatial data storage object is introduced,and the storage mechanism of scalable massive spatial data storage based on distributed spatial data storage objects is proposed.Finally,the advantages of active storage,high performance,and transparent access etc.are discussed.This paper provides a new way for efficient distributed GIS spatial data storage and management.
