Geospatial Metadata Framework in Distributed Network Environments

After examining the existing metadata standards and their implementation frameworks,this paper presents an operational,object-oriented metadata content framework and a hierarchical,map-based metadata repository architecture as an alternative for searching,indexing,and retrieving distributed GIServices on the Internet,and gives an instance for implementation.
