Fractal Attenuation Analysis of Cartographic Object’s Self-similarity on Cartographic Generalization

  • This paper uses fractal geometry as a tool and fractal dimension as a measurement parameter to analyze the phenomena of fractal attenuation of cartographic object on cartography generalization. Different from thinking fractal dimension as a fixed value in cartography generalization, the authors think that the fractal dimension is a variable value and with the variation of the scale it will tend to decrease.
