  • Several GIS-related issues in the village link highway project is discussed, including the location choice of the starting and destination point, the determination on the trend of the road line and the road access to the villages. The choice of the destination of the export road with the methods of the distance law that weighted with importance for populations of the natural villages is presented. The determination on the trend of the road line and the road access to the villages with the methods including the least-square method, the Euclidean mininum Spanning Tree and the Euclidean shortest path with obstacle in the theory of the cartographic algebra is proposed.
