Displacement Models for Solving Graphic Conflicts Between Streets and Buildings

This paper discusses the mathematical methods involved in the displacement of the buildings of type 2,3 and 4 for maintaining the right interrelationships between the street and the nearby building symbols when the ground size of corresponding street symbols are broadened for compilation of maps in smaller scales,and experimental results are given.Finally,a procedure is introduced on the basis of raster detection and vector calculation to detect sequential conflicts after displacement of buildings and a method for removing the sequential conflicts is described.
