Development Prospect of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing

It has been 51 years since the author entered Wuhan Institute of Surveying and Mapping in 1957.During this time,the author has experienced the development of photogrammetry and RS integrated with GIS and GPS,which had formed the Geomatics.Coming with the 21st century,many new techniques appeared,such as new generation Internet,Web 2.0,grid computing and smart sensor Web,the author's enthusiastic in photogrammetry and remote sensing have become stronger and stronger.The tendency and key techniques of the development on photogrammetry and remote sensing are forecasted.The opinions in this article will be beneficial to the development of this industry;and some suggestions are provided.
