Abstract

The irrationality of observation structure is one of the reasons resulting in ill-condition in parameter estimation,and measuring observation structure is an effective way to diagnose whether it is ill-conditioned in a system or not.An expression of the volume of hyper-parallel polyhedron is presented,the relationship between the volume and the value of Gram DET is proposed and a method is put forward to measure the advantages and disadvantages of observation structure.
