  • Reconstructionofionosphericelectrondensity(IED)isanill posedinverseproblem.Tosolvethisproblem,weproposeanewalgorithmcombiningtotalvariation(TV)minimizationwithamultiplicativealgebraicreconstructiontechnique(MART)forcomputerizedionospherictomography(CIT).ThealgorithmisaninterlacediterativemethodaddingaTVconstrainttotheparameteroftheinversionmodel,toimprovethestabilityandtheresolutionofinversion.Experimentswithsimulatedandrealdataarediscussed.IncontrasttotheMART,theproposedalgorithmcaneffectivelyimproveIEDreconstructionaccuracy.
