Virtual Globe-based Source Flood Submergence Analysis Algorithm

  • Objective In this paper,firstly,the deficiency of traditional large-scale source submergence analysis isintroduced.Secondly,considering the application in the 3Dvirtual globe and based on the global ter-rain data organization method,a terrain tile–based algorithm for source submergence analysis is pro-posed,and the large-scale source submergence analysis is achieved in the 3Dvirtual globe.Finally,according to the algorithm,a GeoGlobe-based experiment is tested and some advices are discussed.
