Abstract: In the paper, the relations of SME (stochastic model error) and FME (fuuctional model error), in particular, the SME's influence on choosing a functional model in adjustment, are discussed. Moreover, the effect of VCE (variance component estimating) on FME is studied. At last, some suggestions and conclusions are given.
