An Algorithm for Determining Parallax of Aerial Images Based on Histograms of Edges and Grads

  • 摘要: 通过对航空立体像对及其边缘影像的分析,提出了一种新的航空影像初始视差的确定方法。试验表明,该算法能准确地确定纹理单一、影像对比度小的航空立体影像对的初始视差,可明显提高影像匹配的精度和可靠性。

     

    Abstract: his paper presents a new algorithm for determining parallax of aerial images with analyzing the property of aerial images and corresponding edge-images. Firstly the authors get the data of edges and grads in a pair of aerial stereo images using Canny operator, then produce the histograms of grads of edges in horizontal direction and in vertical direction respectively. After calculating the correlation coefficients of the two histograms of grads of edges with different relative migration, the migration is the parallax in horizontal direction and in vertical direction where the coefficient is the maximum. The experiment results show that the algorithm is reliable and efficient.
