Abstract: The paper proposes a new working mode of CORS based on the GSM cellular mobile communication system whose technical core is to substitute the base station in the GSM cellular mobile communication system for the virtual reference station in the traditional VRS technique in order to mitigate the communicating pressure of CORS and the computing pressure of CORS' controlling center,to by solve the present problems in the development of the VRS technique. The principle of the new working mode has been expounded and the feasibility has been analyzed. Moreover the new working mode has been assessed qualitatively and quantificationally by comparing with the traditional VRS techniques.
