Abstract: The development, concepts, relationship with other subjects and its influence in the GIS field of digital Photogrammetry far beyond the simple change from analogue photogrammetry to analytical photogrammetry. As a subject of surveying and mapping, it has developed into a new information industry from the traditional photogrammetry, and according to the photogrammetry itself, it has developed into photogrammetry and computer vision. Nowadays the development of digital photogrammetric workstation has become a responsibility connected with both photogrammetry and computer vision. At the same time, it is most closely connected with the establishment of digital earth in the next century. ho its development brings to us both excellent opportunity and the most austere challenge we have never met before.
