Abstract:
A horizontal negative dislocation layer is proposed to represent the mechanism of the intraplate crustal deformation.A simulated example is designed to show the crustal deformation pattern of a horizontal negative dislocation layer model and inverse the simulated displacements to determine the model parameters.Because of the heterogeneous geological structures and rock properties of the overlying crust, the coupling between the lower crustal movements and the overlying upper crust is not homogeneous, and the shear deformation zone will occurr along the boundary of the different negative dislocation areas. On the other hand, the observed deformation data such as displacements can be used to determine the layer negative dislocation distributions inversely,so as to divide the monitoring area into different tectonic blocks and to analyze the earthquake risks.
