Abstract: This paper presents an application of image processing to pre-processing of seal identification. Especially, the authors propose a method for extracting a seal imprint by using its color information, and puts foward a method for the detection and recovery of missing pattern. The program based on this consideration has tested on some real bankchecks. The experimental results are satisfactory.
