Abstract: Automatic database updating is an important issue in the research of GIS with the integration of B/S and C/S structures. The key to this issue is to establish an updating mechanism. Introducing and analyzing the automatic database updating mechanism in GIS with the integration of B/S and C/S structures, this paper presents an efficient and secure database updating mechanism. A case study proves the efficiency of the database updating mechanism.
