Abstract: The achievements in the research of the earth's gravity field and in training corresponding qualified scientists and technicians of Wuhan Technical University of Surveying and Mapping are reviewed in the paper. Moreover, some suggestions for developing the earth's gravity field approximation theory and training corresponding skilled personnel are presented.
