Abstract: There are many problems in thematic mapping decision. It's discussed how to es-tablish the themetic mapping decision support system. In this paper,the following problems are discussed and introduced:the general design of thematic mapping decision support system, information communication among subsystems, methods of cartographic representation,methods of data processing. and so on.
