用潮汐重力仪探测引力吸收效应的可能性

On the Possibility of Using Tidal Gravimeter to Detect the Effect of the Gravitational Absorption

  • 摘要: 用潮汐重力仪探测引力吸收效应的工作始于本世纪150年代,但至今仍然没有得到证实。一个可能的原因是引力吸收效应比理论预言值小得多。究竟情况如何,还有待更精密的实验。本文首先推导出了引力吸收效应方程及引力定律,结果与Harrison(1963)给出的一致;然后就如下几种情况对用潮汐重力仪探测引力吸收效应的可能性进行了探讨:1)利用地球作屏蔽;2)利用月球作屏蔽;3).利用太阳作屏蔽;4)利用人造地球卫星的摄动。

     

    Abstract: In 1920, Majorana concluded that there was an effect of gravitational absorption when a body was put in a gravity field. Since then, some scientists (Tomaschek, 1955; Tomaschek and Groten, 1963; Caputo, 1962; Harrison, 1963; Slichter, 1965; et al.) had been working on this problem and trying to detect the associated gravitational signal, but failed. A possible cause for the fail is that the effect of gravitational absorption is much less than the theoretical estimate. This paper shows that it is possible to detect the signal of gravitational absorption if the gravitational absorption coefficient is not less than 5×10-16cm2g-1. The discussions are focused on the following aspects:1) how to detect the gravitational absorption by the help of the earth as a shield; 2) by the help of the moon; 3) by the help of the sun; 4) by the help of artificial satellites.
