Abstract: This paper expounds and proves the principle of Earth Survey by satellite cameras with the emphasis on the method of locating the direction of the joint line for the connection between the satellite and the ground target. In addition, it deduces a variety of formulas for processing the data involved in the photographs taken by both starcameras and earth-cameras. At last, it gives a rough estimate for the accuracy of the method.
