Abstract: The basic symbolization principle and symbolization standardization for mineral deposits are introduced firsty,then the optimal solution for the quick symbolization for mineral deposits in GIS is discussed,which characterizes the organic integration of two methods: method based on the customizing symbols configuration files and method base on the legend editor,which have been implemented using MapGIS 6.x SDK and VC~(++)6.0.
