基于DCT变换的GIS矢量数据压缩技术研究

摘要: 针对矢量数据的复杂内部结构以及失真在矢量数据中的特殊表现形式,提出了基于DCT变换的矢量数据有损压缩方案。该方案主要针对自然形成的矢量数据,通过分块将结构复杂的矢量数据划分为定长点序列,通过一个特别的量化表控制有损压缩产生的失真不超出事先给定的指标。实验表明,本方案具有较高的压缩比,且可以通过预期指标控制失真。Abstract: A technical framework of DCT-based GIS vector data compression is proposed.DCT is applied to transform vector data into combination of cosine curves,while in this combination coefficients are quantified to integers before lossless coding to compressed bit-stream.Experimental results show that this compression framework works well for naturally formed linear vector data with very high compression ratio while its distortion is well controlled by predefined thresholds.
