Abstract: A new method and environment for geographic issue discussion which is named mobile oriented collaborative virtual geographic studio(MCVGS) is discussed.It combines traditional collaborative virtual environment(CVE) with mobile network and mobile terminals.In the proposed framework,the CVE is in charge of discussion and in command of the spot;while the mobile sides are in charge of collection of the spot data and respond to the commands.And one prototype is carried out in Java SE and Java ME.The prototype is experimentally applied in the investigation of hemorrhagic fever,and result shows that MCVGS can enhance work efficiency.
