Problem and Improving Method for MapInfo Line (Area) Buffer Construction Model

  • 摘要: 通过对由MapInfo系统生成的几个典型的点和线(面)目标缓冲区实例的深入剖析,发现了MapInfo系统在线(面)目标缓冲区构建模型中存在的问题。在对其原因进行深入分析与验证的基础上,给出了具体的改进思路和方法。一方面为GIS用户避免对MapInfo系统的线(面)目标缓冲区分析工具的滥用,以及提高空间分析的精度和可信度提供了具体的改进方法与建议;另一方面又为有关软件开发人员研制新版MapInfo系统及其他GIS软件提供了有益的参考。

     

    Abstract: Through the analysis of typical MapInfo point and line(area) buffer construction examples,the problem of MapInfo line(area) buffer construction model based on map projection plane is proposed.Analyzing and validating its reason,the improving ideas and methods are given out: constituting line(area) buffer construction model by MapInfo point buffer construction model and convex hull construction model;constituting line(area) buffer construction model based on the Earth ellipsoid.Not only an idiographic method is provided for MapInfo users to improve the accuracy and reliability of spatial analysis,but also users are reminded not to abuse the buffer analysis tools.On the other hand,this will put forward a good reference for the new edition of MapInfo system and other GIS developers.
