    Abstract: The flood and disaster usually happen in Yangtze River,especially in the middle and lower reaches,for the special geographic position and climatic environment.The Poyang Lake,Dongting Lake,Taihu Lake and Chaohu Lake have the capability to regulate and con-trol the flood in Yangtze River.The level variations of these four lakes and its relation with climate are studied using Envisat1 GDRs data based on date editing rule and some geophysi-cal corrections.Altimetry is a valid methods to investigate the long time level variation of Yangtze River.
