摘要: 提出了一种根据能量自适应地选取截止频率的巴特沃兹高通滤波器(BHPF)图像增强方法,解决夜间模糊车牌字符无法分割与识别的难题。由于能见度及车灯照射等影响,夜间获取的图像定位到的车牌目标模糊不清。根据图像的频谱特性,使用BHPF提取车牌字符跳变的尖锐部分,利用能量主要集中在低频部分的特点,自适应地选取滤波器截止频率,最后对定位的目标进行高频强调滤波,滤波后的目标图像二值化结果可满足字符分割的要求。通过交通卡口获取的实测图像测试证明,该方法可有效地解决夜间车牌字符无法分割与识别的问题。Abstract: Character segmentation and recognition of nighttime blurred license plate is a difficult problem for vehicle recognition.An image enhancement method based on Butterworth high pass filter(BHPF) which can select stop-frequency adaptively depending on energy is presented to solve the problem.The license plate can be got after the object location.Because of the influence of vehicle lamp and lower visibility,the object is usually blurred.The vehicle license sharp part with characters is extracted by BHPF depending on images frequency feature.Then the stop-frequency selection is selected adaptively by energy collected in low frequency part.The enhancing high pass filter is designed to enhance images and the object binary image is fit for character segmentation.Seriously degraded nighttime blurred license plate images taken from real world are used in the experiments to evaluate the robustness,flexibility and effectiveness of the approach.The character segmentation and binary result keep useful information more accurately to be used as character recognition.
